Volunteers supply the life-blood to Roseville Arts and have been responsible for its successful accomplishments for more than 40 years. Hundreds of volunteers, in addition to our 15 volunteer board members, contribute countless hours serving on committees, as gallery docents, assisting clerical staff, doing hands-on projects with children, serving as host/hostess at events and judging shows, among many other activities that keep our programs alive. In addition to our regular volunteers, Roseville Arts recruits and enjoys the participation from members of other volunteer groups.
Roseville Arts welcomes local high school and college student interns to work closely with our curator for parts of the school year and summer. Past interns have benefited from the broad hands-on experience in non-profit gallery operations and the opportunity to network in the art community.
Your participation in the work of Roseville Arts is vital to the programs and events that help accomplish our mission "to encourage and support the enjoyment, appreciation and growth of the arts in our communities."

Roseville Arts' Artist Group provides a forum for artists to meet, on a quarterly basis, to share ideas and information about Roseville Arts, their individual fields of artistic interest and other pertinent information. Periodically speakers are recruited to present. Join the group by attending the next meeting!
Next Meeting: Wednesday, May 21, at 7 p.m.
Location: Blue Line Gallery, 405 Vernon Street Ste. 100, Roseville
The Gallery is open. Let’s celebrate!
Our first official Artists’ meeting (a decidedly “historic event”) in the gallery that bears our name (actually it is the other way around – but who remembers!). Bring an artist friend and your thinking cap to the Blue Line Gallery on Wednesday, May 21, at 7 p.m. We will talk about opportunities to exhibit in the gallery; kick around suggestions to present to the Exhibition Committee; hear Workshop and Library Committees reports; then begin our first issue-related discussion, Stretch Your Mind and Vision: Session I. This first discussion topic was gleaned from a recent quote in an article in the L.A. Art Scene:
“Cycles of vulnerability and regeneration are a notable subtext in gallery shows this month. With our tenuous global economy and questionable national security adventures, it is no surprise that we are seeing intense self reflection in art making. Self-scrutiny seems both collective and personal, to reach both forward and back in history in an effort to plumb how humans make a mess of things so consistently, and how the creative impulse re-instates beauty no matter what.”
We ask that participants gather their own thoughts and additional resources on this before the meeting if possible, but don’t let lack of preparation dissuade you from participating in the discussion. Suggestions for topics for future Stretch Your Mind and Vision Sessions will also be solicited at the meeting. This could be quite an exciting event!
