High School Student Show
Since the early 1980's, Roseville Arts' main gallery has hosted an annual exhibit showcasing outstanding examples of student artwork from the growing network of high schools in South Placer County. From featuring just two schools in Roseville, the show has grown to include eleven area high schools. Teachers submit artwork from thousands of fine student examples representing schools in the communities of Granite Bay, Lincoln, Loomis, Rocklin and Roseville.
Members of the professional art community serve as judges for the Student Show, selecting artwork for awards recognition. Generous cash prizes provided by Roseville Bank of Commerce, and ribbons donated by Roseville Jewelry and Trophy are presented to students at the opening reception, which traditionally generates much excitement as participating artists are honored by their families, teachers and other supportive members of their communities.
How to Exhibit — Students must be enrolled in a high school in the communities named above. Express your interest to your high school art instructors, who make the selections for the exhibit.

Children's Gallery
Roseville Arts' Children's Gallery has showcased continuous exhibitions of children's art since it opened in Fall 2000 in the downstairs of the historic Haman House. This “for kids, by kids” gallery was originally funded by the Children's Tile Wall — at the Galleria at Roseville. Roseville Arts staff organizes exhibits of children's artwork in professional displays, leads school field trips through the Roseville Arts galleries and provides a myriad of educational and cultural opportunities through sponsorships and partnership with other community organizations. Every spring it features its annual Family Arts Festival.
The Children's Open Show is an annual exhibit and competition open to all children, ages 5-13. Modeled after Roseville Arts' national Open Show for adult artists, the exhibit is complete with a qualified juror, awards selection and prizes, professional gallery display, a celebratory opening reception and press coverage.
How to exhibit — Children, ages 5-13, may participate through an exhibit coordinated by their school or organization, or they may enter one of the shows that are open to the public. The Annual Children's Open Show is held in early fall each year, and from time to time other calls to artists may be advertised on this website, in Roseville Arts newsletters and e-mail and in local papers. Organizations, teachers or schools with exhibit proposals, please e-mail rosecurator@surewest.net.
Want to sponsor an exhibit? — Sponsors are welcome to provide funding support for an individual exhibit or general programming of the Children's Gallery. E-mail rosecurator@surewest.net.
