Directory Format
I create both 2d and 3d artwork. Can I be listed on both?
If you submit both 2 and 3 dimensional work, you will be added to both 2D & 3D galleries with a different
preview image (the image above artist name) for each gallery. However, both galleries will link to the same page containing your 5 images and contact information. In other words, 5 images per artist is the maximum we offer at this time.
Why aren’t there more search options?
The Directory Committee has decided on a simple layout for Directory of Artists while its effectiveness and value is evaluated. Thus, the Directory of Artists is not running on a database currently, which limits our capability to offer more search options.
Can I change the background color?
No, we do not offer customization of individual pages.

Formatting Images
How do I know the size of an image?
- Open My Documents > Open the folder where the image is saved > then right click on
the image and open the Properties tab.
- The Properties dialog box will appear
that will provide size information. An image that is 100-200 KB is generally a good size for the directory. RA will size images for the Directory, but please do not send any images larger than 1MB (1MB=1000KB).
How do I reduce the size of an image?
You can reduce the size of a large image using any photo editing software such as Photoshop, Picture It! or GIMP. (If you don't have one- click here to download GIMP for free).
Look for a command called "Image Size," "Resize," or "Resample." When you use this command you will be presented with a dialog box for entering the exact pixels you wish to use. After sizing the image, be sure to do a Save As so you don't overwrite your original, high resolution file. You'll want to save as a JPEG file.
What if my images are too small?
Please do not stretch or enlarge images that are smaller than required size (min. 72ppi, 400x400pixels). If you do not have the image in a larger format, do not submit it to the Directory. Roseville Arts will reject images that do not meet minimum size and resolution requirements.

Can I add a link to another online directory?
No, Roseville Arts does not wish to promote other artist directories. The primary goal of this Directory is to connect member artists with local businesses and art collectors.
What information can I include on the artist statement page?
The artist statement can include any text, 1 image of the artist (JPEG format) and 1
logo/graphic(JPEG or GIF format) as long as all of the information fits on a 8.5"x11"
page with a font size no smaller than 12pts. Please note that this is only a guideline to the
amount of information that will fit on the format of the web page. The font style and size will be
formatted by RA! to web site standards.
Can I list prices?
All transactions should be handled privately between artist and business/collector. Therefore, RA's Directory Committee has decided to exclude pricing information.
