I am an evolving artist and have painted in various media since I was a child. My exposure to the watercolor medium began with classes taken with Patricia Abraham.

My works have won prize ribbons in both the Placer County and Sacramento County Fairs. Although watercolors are my primary medium, I sometimes utilize a variety of water media to attain a desired artistic effect. I have incorporated gouache and acrylics, and have also integrated ink, pencil, and collage into some of my paintings. My approach ranges from impressionism, to realism, to the whimsical. Subject matter spans an eclectic array, following where ever my current mood will direct me. When I have the opportunity I value plein aire painting for the freshness and spontaneity it seems to instill in my artwork.

I appreciate imaginative challenges to enhance my creative growth. My artistic process is spiritual. When I paint it allows me to transcend physical pain and become energized. As my visualizations come alive on paper I experience a great sense of fulfillment. For me this is a very exciting and therapeutic experience.
